About the role
Join the culinary team at Siddharth – The Fern, a premium eco‑friendly hotel in Jalna, as a Commis 2. This full‑time, on‑site position supports the kitchen in preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes that meet the hotel’s high standards of quality and sustainability.
Key responsibilities
- Perform basic mise en place and assist across hot, cold, bakery, and banquet stations.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of workstations, adhering to food safety guidelines.
- Label, store, and rotate ingredients correctly to minimize waste.
- Coordinate with senior chefs during service to ensure timely and consistent food output.
- Participate in inventory checks and support special events and high‑volume operations.
Required profile
- Foundational culinary skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and plating.
- Strong understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment and follow senior chefs’ instructions.
- Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts, Hotel Management, or related field (preferred).
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
