Category Trade Marketing Manager

About the role

Emami Limited is seeking a Category Trade Marketing Manager to lead trade marketing strategy and execution for its Consumer Care portfolio across General Trade, Modern Trade, and E‑Commerce channels. The role will collaborate closely with Sales, Brand Marketing, and Distribution teams to boost brand visibility, drive channel growth, and enhance retail execution.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement trade marketing strategies aligned with brand and sales objectives.
• Design cluster‑level activation plans to increase visibility and sell‑out of consumer care products.
• Collaborate with Heads of Trade Marketing, Modern Trade, E‑Commerce & Sales to roll out national trade programs at the cluster level.
• Drive growth across General Trade, Modern Trade, and E‑Commerce by expanding distribution reach and improving merchandising standards.
• Plan and execute in‑store activations, promotions, and merchandising initiatives, ensuring high‑quality point‑of‑sale visibility.
• Monitor execution through field visits and coordinate with sales teams.
• Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and shopper insights to recommend actionable strategies.
• Track promotion effectiveness, ROI, and trade scheme performance.
• Work cross‑functionally with Sales, Brand Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance for seamless program execution.
• Manage trade marketing budgets and promotional spend, tracking KPIs such as sell‑out growth, distribution expansion, and retail visibility.

Required profile

• 5‑10 years of experience in Trade Marketing, Sales, or Channel Marketing within the FMCG industry.
• Hands‑on experience in General Trade as an Area Sales Manager (ASM) or similar role.
• MBA from a reputed institute (preferred).
