Band 6 Prevention and Control of Infection Nurse

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Band 6 Prevention and Control of Infection Nurse to join the proactive team at NHS Golden Jubilee. The successful candidate will play a key part in delivering the hospital’s infection prevention and control programme and will support the on‑call service.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in all aspects of the infection prevention and control programme.
• Assist in the delivery of the department’s on‑call service.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote best practice in infection control.
• Provide education and guidance to staff on infection prevention measures.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (first level) with strong interpersonal skills.
• Enthusiastic, motivated and a committed team player.
• Willingness to undertake training in infection prevention and control.
• Flexibility to work within the on‑call service schedule.

Required skills

• Knowledge of infection prevention and control practices.
