AWS DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer to lead cloud migration and automation projects for our clients. The role combines deep AWS expertise with hands‑on DevOps practices to design, build and optimise secure, scalable cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute migration strategies, assess existing workloads and create detailed road‑maps using AWS Migration Hub, Application Migration Service and Database Migration Service.
• Design, document and implement scalable AWS architectures, applying Infrastructure as Code with CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Ansible and other automation frameworks.
• Implement containerised solutions with Docker and Kubernetes, and support serverless workloads on AWS Lambda.
• Advise senior stakeholders on cloud strategy, cost optimisation, security best practices and operational excellence.
• Monitor performance and cost, apply security controls and ensure compliance with industry regulations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in large‑scale cloud migrations and a solid understanding of migration patterns (rehost, replatform, refactor).
• Strong communication and leadership abilities, with a track record of acting as a trusted advisor to customers.
• Experience working in regulated environments with data‑privacy and compliance requirements.

Required skills

• AWS services: EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM and related components.
• Infrastructure as Code: AWS CloudFormation, Terraform.
• Containerisation: Docker, Kubernetes.
• CI/CD and automation: Jenkins, Ansible.
• Migration tools: AWS Migration Hub, Application Migration Service, Database Migration Service.
• Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or higher.
