About the role
The Assistant Manager – Power & Trading will support efficient power generation operations by monitoring schedules, ensuring regulatory compliance, and coordinating real‑time adjustments across plants, buyers, and dispatch centers.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor and manage long‑term and medium‑term power generation commitments in line with Power Purchase Agreements and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with State Load Dispatch Centers (SLDC), Regional Load Dispatch Centers (RLDC), and government bodies to receive, update, and upload schedule requisitions.
- Communicate schedule changes promptly to power plants, buyers, and regulatory authorities via portal and other channels.
- Track plant availability, update schedules, and ensure compliance with the Deviation Settlement Mechanism (DSM) to minimize penalties.
- Handle short‑term real‑time schedule changes, ensuring adherence to Temporary General Network Access (TGNA) and General Network Access (GNA) regulations.
- Collaborate with buyers to revise power schedules as required and document change requests for transparent reporting.
