Assistant Manager - Pigment and Paste

About the role

The Assistant Manager will support the local Pigment & Paste Owner in India, ensuring operational excellence, data transparency and alignment with global PSM standards. The role bridges production, labs, procurement and suppliers to drive quality, cost competitiveness and sustainable operations.

Key responsibilities

• Support the local Pigment & Paste Owner in day‑to‑day activities, including root‑cause investigations.
• Prepare analyses, reports and documentation within the PSM framework to aid decision‑making.
• Coordinate with production, C‑Labs, procurement and suppliers to align Indian activities with global PSM standards and follow up on action items.
• Assist pigment‑paste localisation projects, testing coordination, data collection and documentation.
• Maintain and update the local pigment toolbox, paste portfolio and intermediates, identifying consolidation opportunities.
• Support EHS compliance, audit preparation and follow‑up actions in labs and operational areas.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Chemistry or a related technical discipline.
• 10‑15 years of experience in pigment or SB‑paste/coatings, with strong knowledge of pigment surface technology and manufacturing processes.
• Proven ability to work in international, cross‑functional teams.
