About the role
We are seeking an experienced operational leader to oversee day‑to‑day business functions across sales, warehouse, logistics, procurement and support. The Assistant General Manager will ensure operational efficiency, drive performance and support business growth in the hardware and industrial supplies sector.
Key responsibilities
- Lead day‑to‑day business operations across sales, warehouse, logistics, procurement and support functions
- Ensure operational efficiency, timely execution and smooth coordination between departments
- Build and implement operational systems, SOPs and reporting structures
- Monitor productivity, operational KPIs, inventory movement and overall business performance
- Drive process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce delays and improve profitability
- Lead, manage and develop a team of 80+ employees across multiple functions
- Bridge the gap between business owners and operational teams
- Build a culture of accountability, ownership, discipline and execution
- Conduct regular reviews, performance monitoring and team development initiatives
- Support business development and expansion initiatives
- Work closely with sales and procurement teams to improve operational support and customer satisfaction
- Identify operational bottlenecks impacting revenue growth and customer experience
- Contribute strategic ideas to improve scalability, margins and market positioning
- Develop MIS reports, operational dashboards and performance tracking mechanisms
- Ensure accurate reporting of inventory, operations, manpower and business performance
- Drive data‑based decision‑making across departments
- Improve operational transparency and accountability at all levels
Required profile
- Proven experience in hardware, tools, industrial supplies, building materials or related trading/manufacturing environments
- Demonstrated ability to manage large teams (80+ employees) and drive operational excellence
- Strong track record of streamlining operations, improving systems and supporting business expansion
- Ability to align management vision with on‑ground execution and ensure commercial growth
- Experience in fast‑paced industrial or hardware settings
