Advanced Application Engineer – West Territory (Pune)

About the role

3M is seeking an experienced Advanced Application Engineer to lead application engineering for the West Territory, covering Pune and Pune Annex. You will work from our RJ Pune facility, expanding lab capabilities and driving high‑value specifications for automotive, appliance, industrial and specialty vehicle segments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead application engineering activities across defined market segments.
• Support and grow converter market customers, accelerating application conversions.
• Develop new applications for existing and new 3M products.
• Generate lab data, troubleshoot technical challenges on‑site, and collaborate with sales and business teams for NPI deployment.
• Engage with converter partners and end‑user customers to drive specification adoption.

Required profile

• Graduate or postgraduate in Engineering (Polymer, Rubber, Chemical Technology preferred).
• 8‑10 years of industrial experience, preferably in technical service or application engineering.
• Proven ability to identify new applications, customer pain points and value‑sell solutions.
• Strong analytical, written and oral communication skills.
