Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Manager

About the role

Amazon is looking for an experienced Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Manager to lead safety initiatives at one of its sites in Austria. You will be responsible for maintaining high safety standards, driving a culture of safety and inclusivity, and ensuring compliance with Austrian legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the on‑site WHS team and collaborate regularly with cross‑functional teams.
• Analyse safety data and root‑cause reports using internal tools to support leadership decisions.
• Provide guidance for health‑and‑safety projects, policies and programmes.
• Lead initiatives that improve safety culture and operational efficiency.
• Implement changes based on employee feedback and continuous improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• "Sicherheitsfachkraft" certification under the ArbeitnehmerInnenschutzgesetz.
• Advanced proficiency in German and English.
• Proven experience managing a team.
• Experience complying with Austrian health‑and‑safety legislation.
