Transportation Representative – SDS

About the role

The Transportation Representative (SDS) works within the Transportation Operations Center (TOC) to ensure smooth information flow between carriers, vendors, fulfillment centers and internal teams. The role focuses on both inbound and outbound freight operations, quickly resolving issues that could affect customer experience and business continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate with external partners (carriers, vendors, suppliers) and internal stakeholders (retail, finance, software support, fulfillment centers).
• Extract and analyze data from multiple databases using tools such as Excel and Access.
• Develop, monitor and act on performance metrics to drive business results.
• Define business and functional requirements for technology teams that build or enhance operational tools.
• Escalate and track issues or data variances to the appropriate owners until resolution.
• Work under time constraints to meet critical business needs and produce weekly reports summarising findings and variances.
• Make calls to customers and delivery partners to resolve operational problems.

Required profile

• Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders, including senior executives and cross‑functional teams.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to spot trends and make data‑driven decisions.
• Basic understanding of logistics and freight operations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive attitude toward process improvement.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data manipulation).
• Microsoft Access or similar database querying tools.
