Test Automation Specialist

About the role

Deloitte's Digital Excellence Centre is looking for a Test Automation Specialist to join its team in Bangalore. You will work closely with developers, designers, and product managers to ensure high‑quality software releases through automated and exploratory testing.

Key responsibilities

• Understand the application under test, design, author, and execute test cases.
• Conduct exploratory testing and provide detailed analysis.
• Identify test cases suitable for automation and develop automated scripts.
• Log, track, and verify defects, collaborating with the development team to resolve critical issues.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of experience in test automation.
• Strong knowledge of software testing concepts, bug life‑cycle, and testing levels.
• Ability to work in an agile environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Graduation in engineering or a related technical field.

Required skills

• Test automation tools and frameworks.
• Basic SQL for data extraction.
• XML handling.
• General web development skills.
• Experience with web services testing.
