Custom Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Custom Software Engineer to design, develop, and enhance backend components for our Pharmacy POD. You will work with modern Java technologies and agile practices to deliver scalable, high‑performing solutions that meet specific business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a core contributor within the Pharmacy POD, delivering high‑quality backend solutions using Java and Spring Boot.
• Collaborate with the POD Lead and QA engineers to ensure timely and accurate feature delivery.
• Participate in design discussions and influence technical decisions for pharmacy workflows.
• Maintain code quality through rigorous testing, code reviews, and adherence to best practices.
• Develop and integrate cloud‑native microservices, messaging queues and containerized applications.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of backend development experience with Java 17 and Spring Boot 3.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and cloud‑native development.
• Experience with messaging systems such as RabbitMQ or Pub/Sub and relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Proficiency in unit testing with JUnit 5 and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to work independently, solve problems and communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
