Technical Director – Platform Engineering

About the role

The Technical Director will lead the evolution of Bosch’s platform, driving feature migration, horizontal scalability and customer‑specific adaptations. Reporting to the Head of Department, you will act as a strategic enabler for innovation, research collaborations and talent development while ensuring delivery excellence today.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the platform vision, creating proof‑of‑concepts that anticipate technological shifts.
• Mentor Technical Architects and Product Owners, shaping university and research partnerships aligned with the platform strategy.
• Architect horizontally scalable, multi‑tenant, cloud‑native systems and establish reference architectures and technical governance.
• Lead rapid feature migration, platform evolution and enable fast POC deployments for customers across TL, TSR and MAV.
• Balance delivery of current commitments with parallel development of future‑ready technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
• 12+ years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in senior technical leadership roles.
• Proven experience with large‑scale platform products or distributed systems.
