Supplier Quality Engineer

About the role

The Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for monitoring and improving the quality performance of our suppliers. You will identify non‑quality factors, lead corrective actions, and ensure that supplier processes meet our plant’s standards.

Key responsibilities

• Identify day‑to‑day non‑quality factors and conduct in‑depth analyses.
• Lead quality issue resolution using containment, correction, and prevention steps (8D methodology).
• Pilot the Supply Qualification Module (SQM) and Supplier Performance Module (SPM) for both internal and external suppliers.
• Conduct supplier process audits and launch improvement action plans.
• Manage incoming inspection policy and optimize it.
• Monitor and report supplier quality performance at plant level.
• Lead the qualification of parts through the Part Product Evaluation Plan (PPEP) and participate in product evolution processes (ACCESS, ROHS, etc.).
• Escalate critical issues to the Supplier Quality & Development team when needed.
• Own and maintain quality data in the Quality Domain (QCO) across SAP and related tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Production or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in supplier quality or a closely related role.
• Strong focus on customer satisfaction, issue resolution, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to influence, collaborate across functions, and communicate effectively.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with SAP and quality domain tools.
• Proficiency in 8D problem‑solving methodology.
• Familiarity with quality improvement tools, techniques and models.
