State Credit Manager – Small Ticket Secured Lending

About the role

Aditya Birla Finance Limited is seeking a State Credit Manager for its Small Ticket Secured Lending (STSL) portfolio in Ajmer. The role will lead credit appraisal, risk mitigation and portfolio management for medium‑to‑long term working capital loans backed by collateral.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and validate data required for exhaustive credit appraisals, ensuring compliance with product and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate closely with sales teams to obtain accurate customer information and mitigate credit risk.
• Accelerate turnaround times for credit proposal approvals in a competitive market.
• Monitor market, regulatory and product trends to enhance customer interactions and reduce operational risk.
• Oversee pending documentation, ensuring timely regularisation and risk mitigation.
• Manage the credit portfolio, driving business and financial performance while improving processes and quality.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant or MBA qualification.
• 8‑10 years of experience in credit and risk functions within banks or NBFCs.
• Significant exposure to mortgage‑backed products for self‑employed borrowers.
• Experience handling multiple geographies and location‑specific considerations.
• Strong analytical, evaluation, detail‑orientation and decision‑making abilities.
