Staff Software Engineer

About the role

As a Staff Software Engineer you will design and deliver robust, production‑grade, data‑intensive applications that power critical business use cases worldwide. You will operate across domains, owning architecture, raising engineering standards, and amplifying the impact of your team and surrounding teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and own end‑to‑end architectures for microservices, event‑driven systems, and data platforms.
• Build high‑quality backend services and APIs that are reliable, secure, and scalable.
• Design, deploy, and operate cloud‑native infrastructure on Kubernetes following platform‑engineering best practices.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines and products using Spark and Databricks.
• Drive event‑driven architecture leveraging Kafka and streaming technologies.
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code, primarily in Scala with Python where appropriate.
• Lead architecture and design reviews and mentor junior engineers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related technical field (Master’s preferred).
• Proven experience designing and delivering large‑scale backend services and cloud‑native solutions.
• Strong ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
