Software Engineer - Java Springboot with Gen AI

About the role

Wells Fargo is looking for a Software Engineer to join the Core Banking Platform team. You will help deliver enterprise‑scale capabilities for customer account ledger and transaction processing, working in an environment that encourages collaboration, continuous learning, and technical excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in low to moderately complex initiatives, including installations, upgrades, and deployments.
• Identify opportunities to improve service quality and availability within the technology domain.
• Design, code, test, debug, and document features for projects and programs.
• Review and analyze technical assignments, propose solutions, and escalate issues when necessary.
• Exercise independent judgment while adhering to security and compliance requirements.
• Provide information and support to technology colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholders.

Required profile

• 2+ years of software engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated through work, training, military service, or education.
• Hands‑on experience with Java and Spring Boot frameworks.
• Experience with multithreading and distributed caching technologies.
• Familiarity with event‑driven and real‑time data processing (e.g., Kafka, Flink).
• Experience in CI/CD pipelines and container platforms such as OpenShift.
• Background in banking or financial services is a plus.
