Software Engineer - Java, Spring Boot and Microservices

About the role

Apple’s Information Systems & Technology (IS&T) team is seeking a Software Engineer to develop the next generation of enterprise‑grade services that power critical Apple applications. You will collaborate with multi‑functional teams and business leaders to design, build, and maintain highly scalable solutions that support billions of devices and transactions worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain reliable, scalable enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot and micro‑service architecture.
• Gather requirements, work with project managers and cross‑functional teams to define solutions and estimate effort.
• Participate in code reviews, technical design reviews and mentor teammates.
• Deliver features quickly while ensuring high quality and alignment with evolving product needs.

Required profile

• Self‑motivated, proactive and results‑driven with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with diverse teams.

Required skills

• 2+ years of experience building scalable enterprise solutions.
• Hands‑on experience with Java, Spring Boot and micro‑services.
• Experience with cloud‑based distributed systems and API design (REST, RPC, GraphQL).
• Proficiency with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL data stores.
• Solid understanding of software architecture, design and code review practices.
