Senior Software Engineer - Web

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications that power ixigo’s travel platform. You will work on both frontend and backend components, collaborating closely with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver high‑quality features.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain scalable web applications using modern JavaScript technologies.
• Build responsive, user‑friendly interfaces with React.js, Next.js or similar frameworks.
• Design and implement backend services using Node.js and Express.js.
• Integrate third‑party APIs and RESTful services.
• Write reusable, efficient, and well‑documented code.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, debug, and improve application performance.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and technical discussions.
• Ensure best practices for security, scalability, and maintainability.

Required profile

• 4+ years of full‑stack development experience with JavaScript.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and good understanding of TypeScript.
• Solid experience with frontend frameworks such as React.js or Next.js.
• Proven backend development skills using Node.js and Express.js.
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs and third‑party integrations.
• Good knowledge of databases like MongoDB, MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with Git and version‑control workflows.
• Understanding of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design and cross‑browser compatibility.
