Senior Proposal Manager

About the role

The Senior Proposal Manager will lead and manage international government and commercial proposals for Shield AI’s India business. This role requires strong technical writing ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise proposals, as well as excellent verbal communication and coordination across cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end proposal execution from pre‑RFP planning through submission and closeout.
• Coordinate and align stakeholders across Shield AI to ensure compliant, high‑quality submissions.
• Manage competing priorities such as work packages, RFIs, ROMs, and other deliverables in a fast‑paced environment.
• Continuously improve proposal processes, tools, templates, and best practices.
• Mentor proposal contributors and foster high‑performing, collaborative teams.
• Support India GTM team with briefing and presentation development for customer engagements and events.

Required profile

• 2‑4+ years of experience in Government of India, Indian Ministry of Defence, or international government proposal development.
• Bachelor's degree in business, communication, marketing, engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Proven leadership record and ability to work collaboratively in a startup environment.
• Strong academic achievement and ability to communicate complex technical ideas effectively.

Required skills

• Experience with proposal methodologies such as Shipley.
• Creation and use of compliance matrices.
• Implementation of project management tools and processes.
• Technical background in unmanned/uncrewed systems or autonomy software (preferred).
