Senior Officer – Contract Labour & Statutory Compliance

About the role

The Senior Officer will ensure adherence to contract labour management policies and statutory compliance within the plant. This role involves coordinating audits, assessing risks, and advising stakeholders on legislative changes.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to the contract labour management policy.
• Facilitate audits and coordinate with service providers and auditors.
• Assess risks related to contract labour deployment and propose improvements.
• Manage statutory compliance within the plant and ensure adherence to labour laws.
• Advise stakeholders on legislative changes and ensure alignment with updated legal requirements.
• Build and maintain relationships with key statutory authorities.
• Ensure effective implementation of compliance standards for all applicable statutes.

Required profile

• MSW or MBA in HR.
• Competent knowledge of all applicable labour laws for the plant/factories.
• Proficient knowledge of the Contract Labour Act.
• Proficiency in the regional language.
• Strong networking skills to liaise with vendors, government officials and local contacts.
• Competent communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
