Senior Executive – Payments & Merchant Acquiring

About the role

Bajaj Finance Ltd. is expanding its QR acquiring business and is looking for a Senior Executive to lead the Payments – Merchant Acquiring function in the Mumbai‑Goregaon territory. You will build the business from the ground up, recruit and train a field sales team, and drive QR, SB and POS/EDC deployments across retailers.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, train and motivate Field Operations Staff (FOS) to achieve productivity targets.
• Acquire new merchants and oversee QR, SB and POS/EDC deployments.
• Develop and manage distribution channels, ensuring proper coverage and mapping.
• Maintain relationships with key decision‑makers and channel partners.
• Drive sales numbers, retailer payment reconciliation and store activation activities.
• Collaborate with partners on sales promotions and ensure process rigor and controllership.

Required profile

• Graduation/MBA with 2‑4 years of relevant experience (or Graduate with 3‑6 years).
• Prior exposure to Payments, FMCG or Telecom prepaid sales is mandatory.
• Experience handling merchant relationships and distribution in consumer durables, digital or LSF roles is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal skills and high energy for field work.
• Self‑starter with a passion for meeting retailers on the ground.
