Senior Engineer – Maintenance Shift Leader (Final Assembly)

About the role

Bosch Automotive Electronics India Pvt. Ltd. (RBAI) is a leading supplier of electronic products for the automotive sector, operating a benchmark plant in Naganathapura, Bengaluru. The Senior Engineer – Maintenance Shift Leader will oversee shift operations, ensure line availability, and drive continuous improvement in the final‑assembly area.

Key responsibilities

• Manage shift operation and resource allocation.
• Ensure line technical availability, quality, 5S and safety standards.
• Coordinate daily activities with cross‑functional teams (CFT).
• Apply systematic problem‑solving methods such as why‑why analysis and A3 PSS.
• Lead the team to implement permanent solutions for equipment issues.
• Identify training needs and plan skill‑development activities.
• Plan shift schedules and perform manpower planning.
• Derive corrective and preventive actions for machine breakdowns using quality tools.
• Implement TPM, MTTR and MTBF metrics.
• Manage tooling effectively.
• Communicate with suppliers on open points, breakdowns and closures.
• Document breakdowns and preventive maintenance activities.
