Senior Engineer / Assistant Manager – Quality Management

About the role

Bosch Automotive Electronics India Pvt. Ltd. (RBAI) is seeking a Senior Engineer / Assistant Manager to lead quality management for new automotive electronic products. The role focuses on ensuring quality standards throughout New Product Introduction (NPI) and series production at the Bengaluru plant.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product planning, development, and international production teams to maintain quality during NPI.
• Ensure series‑production readiness for new product launches.
• Lead and resolve customer claims (0 km and field failures) and provide 8D reports.
• Serve as the single point of contact for claim handling and customer queries.
• Review and approve Engineering Change Requests (ECR).
• Participate in Q‑Task forces for root‑cause analysis of complex ECU failures.
• Conduct quality gate reviews and verify compliance before series production.
• Assess NPI risks and support mitigation actions, including participation in P‑FMEA.

Required profile

• Proven experience in quality management for automotive electronic products.
• Hands‑on involvement in new product introduction and series production readiness.
• Experience handling customer claims and delivering 8D problem‑solving reports.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with internal and external stakeholders.

Required skills

• ECU development and testing knowledge.
• FMEA (including P‑FMEA) methodology.
• 8D problem‑solving process.
• Engineering Change Request (ECR) management.
• Root‑cause analysis and quality gate review expertise.
• Familiarity with Bosch Production System (BPS) and Industry 4.0 concepts.
