Senior DevOps Engineer (Azure)

About the role

EY is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, build and operate modern cloud‑native platforms on Microsoft Azure. The role combines hands‑on development, infrastructure automation and collaboration with product and development teams to deliver reliable, secure and scalable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Engineer and automate platform solutions to meet product expectations.
• Proactively evolve DevSecOps methodologies, standards and best practices.
• Apply modern development standards, security guidelines and usability design principles.
• Ensure quality through manual and automated controls, and manage risks throughout the lifecycle.
• Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning with IaC tools such as Terraform, ARM templates or Bicep.
• Manage Azure resources, subscriptions, networking, storage and compute services.
• Collaborate with development teams to streamline application deployment and release processes.
• Implement and maintain source‑control and branching strategies using Git.
• Monitor application and infrastructure performance with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and Application Insights.
• Ensure security, compliance and governance standards are followed throughout the DevOps lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot deployment, infrastructure and performance‑related issues.
• Support containerised applications using Docker and Kubernetes (AKS).
• Maintain technical documentation and promote DevOps best practices across teams.

Required profile

• Strong design and hands‑on development experience on enterprise software applications for both on‑premise and cloud environments, primarily using Microsoft technologies.
• Proven ability to lead delivery of complex projects and take accountability for design, development, delivery and maintenance of solutions.
• Deep understanding of business and user requirements, ensuring technical specifications meet both functional and non‑functional needs.
• Senior‑level expertise with a focus on automation, reliability and security.
