Security Supervisor (Airport Operations)

About the role

The Security Supervisor is responsible for managing and monitoring security functions across Air Arabia’s daily airport operations. Working closely with the Airport Manager, the role ensures safety, regulatory compliance and smooth workflow in check‑in, baggage handling, ramp and aircraft zones.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Airport Manager in monitoring operational and security functions and ensure compliance with Air Arabia’s security measures and standards.
• Control access to restricted zones by verifying airport passes, identification and travel documents.
• Conduct physical searches of personnel using archway metal detectors and perform manual body searches when required.
• Screen all items entering aircraft, including handbags, with X‑Ray and explosive trace detection equipment and conduct manual searches as needed.
• Respond to AOG, emergencies, technical delays and service disruptions, providing efficient control and recovery.
• Report all security incidents and accidents to the Airport Manager and Head Office, completing required documentation.
• Monitor handling agents for adherence to company policies, regulatory requirements and safe passenger service.
• Oversee the baggage handling system, trace lost luggage, investigate unattended baggage and ensure anti‑sabotage checks.
• Escort valuable cargo, perform Single‑Leaver Power Control (SLPC) and safeguard aircraft on the bay.

Required profile

• Ability to monitor and enforce security procedures in high‑traffic airport environments.
• Capability to conduct physical and manual searches and operate screening equipment.
• Strong incident reporting skills and familiarity with dangerous‑goods protocols.
• Experience handling emergency situations and coordinating with airport operational teams.
