SAP PLM Consultant – Discrete Industries (MM, BOM, DMS)

About the role

The SAP PLM Consultant will work within Bosch’s Discrete Industries business, focusing on Material Management (MM), Bill of Materials (BOM) and Document Management System (DMS) processes. The role involves translating business needs into functional specifications and supporting the full project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and analyse business requirements, perform fit‑gap analysis and document functional specifications.
• Prepare functional and technical specification documents, configuration guides, test scripts and user manuals.
• Design and maintain interface mapping documents, including source‑to‑target mappings, transformation logic and data validation rules.
• Implement integrations using IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, APIs and middleware technologies.
• Support system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), defect resolution, cut‑over activities and post‑go‑live production support.

Required profile

• BE degree (or equivalent).
• 3–6 years of experience as an SAP PLM consultant in discrete industries.
• Proven ability to work with MM, BOM and DMS modules and to produce clear documentation.
