SAP ABAP Developer (m/f/d)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Developer to join the BASF Digital Hub in Hyderabad. You will work on SAP S/4HANA applications, delivering enhancements, supporting integrations and ensuring stable operations for our global chemical business.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 2nd/3rd level support for SAP S/4HANA incidents and problems.
• Develop and maintain ABAP objects using OO ABAP, BAPI and CDS views following clean‑core principles.
• Design, code, unit‑test and validate new features within an agile team.
• Support integration patterns, including APIs and OData services, collaborating with functional, CPI, Basis and security teams.
• Own project deliverables from design through deployment, hypercare and transition to operations.
• Participate in problem and change management, handling root‑cause analysis, transports and documentation.
• Coach team members on ABAP development and S/4HANA technical best practices.

Required profile

• At least 4 years of hands‑on SAP development and integration experience.
• Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA application development.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
