Resident Engineer / Senior Engineer – VB

About the role

The Resident Engineer / Senior Engineer – VB is responsible for overseeing KONE installation projects, ensuring safety, quality and productivity on site while managing customer relationships and subcontractor performance.

Key responsibilities

• Accountable for safety, quality and productivity during installation and handovers, raising corrective actions for any non‑conformities.
• Ensure correct KONE installation methods, tools and risk assessments are applied, and prepare the site proactively.
• Plan and organise installation activities, logistics, material requests, goods receipt and site storage.
• Lead continuous huddles, manage variation sales, change orders and claim costs attributable to others.
• Verify installation quality, conduct final testing and ensure successful handover to maintenance.
• Manage environmental aspects of the installation, including waste and hazardous material handling.

Required profile

• Ensure installers, testers and contractors are trained, certified and competent for each task.
• Responsible for site operatives’ safety, motivation and wellbeing.
• Identify training needs and communicate them to line managers, HR and procurement.
• Develop and manage performance of the internal team and subcontractors.
