Quantity Surveyor – Construction

About the role

We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join Kool Home Builders in Kochi. The role involves managing cost estimation, tender preparation and commercial support for civil and structural projects, primarily electrical substation constructions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs and pricing schedules for civil and structural works.
• Perform quantity take‑offs from tender and IFC drawings using AutoCAD and manual methods.
• Coordinate RFIs, evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations, and support commercial negotiations.
• Monitor project budgets, track variations, and assist in cash‑flow and interim payment preparation.
• Review tender and contract documents to identify risks and opportunities.
• Liaise with civil, structural, electrical and project teams to ensure cost alignment with design intent.
• Produce cost reports, tender comparison statements and maintain organized documentation.

Required profile

• B.Tech in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the construction domain, preferably in civil/structural projects.
• Strong understanding of tendering, cost control and commercial processes.

Required skills

• AutoCAD for quantity take‑off and drawing review.
