Project Accounting Reporting & Analysis Specialist

About the role

The Specialist, Project Accounting Reporting & Analysis (PARA) will support the full spectrum of project accounting activities, from budgeting and forecasting to variance analysis and performance monitoring. The role requires strong analytical abilities and meticulous attention to detail to interpret complex financial data and guide business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform project accounting activities and ensure accurate financial reporting for projects.
• Review, validate, and consolidate project revenue.
• Drill down into project cost items, validating accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to compile financial forecasts, including revenue, costs, job profit, indirect costs, and depreciation.
• Conduct variance analysis of actual versus forecasted figures and identify key drivers.
• Leverage Oracle Fusion for project accounting, reporting, and transaction processing.
• Prepare balance‑sheet reconciliations and FLUX analysis.
• Prepare revenue and cost accrual schedules and record related journal entries.
• Assist project managers in preparing cost and revenue schedules.
• Support external and internal audits and ensure compliance with audit, regulatory, and reporting requirements.

Required profile

• MBA (Finance) or CMA certification or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
• Proven experience in project accounting, financial planning, forecasting, and reporting.
• Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
