Procurement Specialist – Supplier Performance Management

About the role

3M is seeking a Procurement Specialist focused on Supplier Performance Management to join its Global Capability Centre in Bangalore. This individual contributor role will work closely with internal operations and external suppliers to ensure supply continuity and drive performance improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead supplier performance management for assigned business groups and manufacturing/distribution sites.
• Collaborate with 3M operations to address systemic supply issues and implement improvement actions.
• Engage directly with external suppliers to resolve issues, strengthen relationships, and conduct performance reviews.
• Develop and execute supplier performance improvement strategies across divisions, plants, and suppliers.
• Support standardized risk and performance measurement processes for plants and distribution centers.
• Build strong partnerships with suppliers and internal stakeholders, integrating strategic sourcing inputs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in supplier relationship management, negotiation, and analytical functions.
• Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships and drive results.
• Detail‑oriented self‑starter with strong project‑management and execution capabilities.
• Effective communicator able to collaborate across teams and deliver quality outcomes.
