MEP-PHE Engineer (Turnkey Projects)

About the role

The MEP‑PHE Engineer is the technical specialist responsible for the fluid and life‑safety systems of turnkey ("Lock & Key") construction projects. The role ensures that water, waste, and fire‑protection installations are executed flawlessly to protect high‑end interior finishes.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise installation of domestic cold and hot water distribution networks, verifying loop systems for instant hot‑water delivery.
• Oversee sanitation and drainage pipe laying, ensuring correct gradients to prevent blockages and air‑locks.
• Apply acoustic mitigation measures, including acoustic lagging and silent‑pipe technology for vertical stacks near living areas.
• Manage fire‑sprinkler and hydrant network installation in compliance with NFPA 13 or local Civil Defence codes, coordinating aesthetic alignment with finishing teams.
• Supervise pump‑room integration, testing fire pumps, jockey pumps and their connection to the Fire Alarm Control Panel.
• Lead hydrostatic pressure testing (24‑hour, 1.5× working pressure) and sign off all test documentation before architectural finishes commence.
• Conduct gravity leak (flood) tests for bathrooms and balconies, verifying waterproofing integrity over 24–48 hours.

Required profile

• Technical specialist with hands‑on experience in mechanical, electrical, plumbing and public‑health engineering for high‑end projects.
• Strong attention to detail and zero‑tolerance attitude toward leaks, noise, and odour.
• Ability to coordinate with senior managers, finishing managers and site teams to ensure seamless integration of systems.
