Marketing Executive & Admission Counsellor – Assam

About the role

The university is looking for an energetic Marketing Executive who will also act as an Admission Counsellor for the Assam region. You will be the primary point of contact for prospective students and their families, guiding them through the university’s programmes, eligibility criteria and application process. The role combines field marketing, tele‑counselling and in‑office support to drive admissions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Generation & Outreach: Distribute brochures and promotional material at schools, coaching centres and other strategic locations across Assam.
• Tele‑counselling: Make outbound calls to leads, explain programme offerings, unique selling points and answer queries.
• In‑office counselling: Receive walk‑in visitors at the regional office, provide detailed course information and assist with application forms.
• Query Resolution: Address admission‑related doubts via phone, email or face‑to‑face interactions.
• Data Management: Record all leads, follow‑ups and conversions accurately using Microsoft Excel.
• Presentation Support: Help organise regional seminars or webinars, preparing PowerPoint decks that showcase campus facilities and placement records.

Required profile

• Any graduate (Bachelor’s degree in any stream); freshers with high energy are welcome.
• Fluent in Bengali, English and Hindi to communicate effectively with students and parents.
• Own a two‑wheeler; petrol allowance will be provided as per university norms.
• Willingness to work extended hours and weekends during the peak admission season (March‑August).
• Strong interpersonal attitude and ability to handle high‑pressure targets.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel for lead tracking and reporting.
• PowerPoint for creating presentation decks.
