Loss Prevention Associate

About the role

The Loss Prevention Associate is responsible for safeguarding the property, assets, and guests by investigating incidents, handling complaints, and ensuring a secure environment. This full‑time, onsite position works closely with management, security teams, and local authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct investigations into theft, fraud, lost items, noise, assault, food‑poisoning, and other guest complaints.
• Interview witnesses and gather statements to build accurate incident reports.
• Notify managers, supervisors, and appropriate authorities (e.g., police) when required.
• Document all security and loss‑prevention incidents, including accidents, hazards, and fire alarms.
• Manage business interruptions such as suspicious individuals, civil disturbances, intoxicated guests, and noise complaints.
• Escort unwelcome persons from the property while maintaining operational flow.
• Defuse guest or employee altercations and summon authorities when necessary.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Use computers and point‑of‑sale systems to record and retrieve incident data.

Required profile

• Strong investigative and interview skills with the ability to obtain accurate statements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, maintaining a professional tone.
• Ability to remain calm and decisive during emergencies or confrontations.
• Physical capability to stand, walk, run, lift up to 50 lb unaided and up to 75 lb with assistance.
• Willingness to work in varied environments, including narrow or elevated spaces.
• Commitment to follow company safety, security policies, and report unsafe conditions.
