Lead Analyst, Corporate Credit Analysis

About the role

Lead Analyst, Corporate Credit Analysis will join the Corporate Research & Analysis team within ANZ’s Institutional bank, supporting corporate banking clients across Australia and India. The role involves end‑to‑end management of credit portfolios, including research, risk assessment and credit decision support.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct research and analysis for corporate banking clients.
• Assess and manage risks related to clients’ capital structures, management teams, and financial performance.
• Prepare high‑quality credit papers, including detailed financial analysis and industry research.
• Support risk grading and risk event management activities.
• Liaise with Relationship Managers and Credit teams on risk and financial performance matters.
• Manage and monitor portfolios in line with agreed governance processes and controls.
• Support deal documentation and ongoing portfolio management activities.
• Identify customer opportunities while maintaining sound risk management practices.

Required profile

• 3 to 6 years of experience in Credit Analysis, Corporate Banking, Financial Analysis, or related research roles.
• Strong credit analysis fundamentals and financial statement analysis skills.
• Sound business and commercial acumen.
• Excellent report writing and analytical abilities.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to build effective relationships and influence decisions.
• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification preferred.
