Java Backend Developer (8‑12 yrs) – Bangalore

About the role

Capco is seeking an experienced Java Backend Developer to join its Bangalore team. The role focuses on designing, building and maintaining high‑performance micro‑service applications using Java, Spring Boot and Kafka, while leveraging cloud platforms and container orchestration.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse business and functional requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions.
• Design, develop and maintain Java‑based micro‑services, REST/SOAP APIs and integrate with Kafka messaging.
• Collaborate with global stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities and drive architectural decisions.
• Monitor production incidents, perform root‑cause analysis and ensure timely resolution.
• Participate in CI/CD pipelines, reporting risks, issues and progress to the team.

Required profile

• 8‑12 years of backend development experience with a strong focus on Java, micro‑services and Kafka.
• Hands‑on experience with Spring Boot, REST/SOAP web services and test‑driven development (TDD/BDD).
• Proficiency in at least one cloud platform (AWS, GCP or Azure) and container technologies such as Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab and workflow engines (e.g., Camunda BPM).
