Finance Controller – CA Qualified

About the role

We are hiring a Finance Controller to lead financial accuracy, internal controls, reconciliations and statutory oversight across Wisemonk. The role manages Finance Operations (Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable) and compliance, ensures a timely monthly close and provides leadership with reliable financial visibility, working directly with the Founder.

Key responsibilities

• Own the monthly financial close within defined timelines and maintain audit‑ready books.
• Perform complete bank, ledger and liability reconciliations.
• Oversee AR aging, collections performance and ensure revenue integrity across EOR, AOR, recruiting and pass‑through services.
• Review and approve payment runs, enforce proper cost‑center and client‑level tagging, and maintain spend discipline.
• Manage GST, TDS, PF, ESIC, payroll and corporate filings; coordinate with external CA and auditors.
• Strengthen Zoho Books workflows, standardise SOPs and improve reporting automation.
• Produce weekly cash and AR dashboards and monthly management reporting packs.

Required profile

• 5–6 years of accounting/finance experience with a CA qualification.
• Background in high‑transaction or payroll‑heavy environments and strong knowledge of GST, TDS and payroll compliance.
• Proven experience leading finance operations teams in a fast‑scaling company.
