Factory IT/OT Specialist (Vadodara)

About the role

The Factory IT/OT Specialist provides on‑site computer support for Hitachi Energy’s factory assets and ensures the security and operational continuity of both office IT and shop‑floor OT systems. You will act as a first‑responder for cybersecurity incidents and maintain critical infrastructure across the site.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver desk‑side support for end‑users, meeting rooms, kiosks, printers, and other collaboration equipment.
• Provide on‑site IT support for factory‑owned assets, including OT devices, CCTV, badge readers, and MES hardware.
• Execute IT/OT cybersecurity operational tasks, including incident investigation, containment, and remediation under guidance.
• Identify critical OT assets, install security patches, and configure remediation measures.
• Raise alerts for abnormal OT behavior and coordinate with incident response teams.
• Collaborate with vendors to ensure proper configuration and maintenance of security patches and OT systems.
• Implement security measures for business‑managed assets in line with global cybersecurity policies.

Required profile

• Formal qualification or apprenticeship in information technology (e.g., diploma in computers or networking).
• 2–5 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in English and the local language.
• Lean Six Sigma (L6S) certification.
• Proactive, solution‑oriented mindset with the ability to work independently.
