Engineering Team Leader – Mechanical (India)

About the role

Husky Technologies is seeking an Engineering Team Leader to head its mechanical design function in Chennai. You will drive innovation, quality and customer satisfaction while building a high‑performing team of junior, senior and specialist designers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop a multidisciplinary mechanical design team.
• Oversee design, development and release of new machine platforms and critical service requests.
• Plan and schedule design activities to meet committed dates.
• Enforce product development processes, design documentation and risk‑mitigation standards.
• Lead technical discussions, design reviews and executive updates.
• Establish engineering standards and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 10+ years of relevant engineering experience, preferably in heavy machinery or injection molding.
• Proven leadership experience managing junior to senior designers.
• Excellent communication, decision‑making and system‑level thinking.

Required skills

• Mechanical design expertise.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and product development processes.
