Engineering Manager - Agentic AI

About the role

Esko is building a shared Agentic AI platform that lets product teams create reliable AI‑powered workflows without rebuilding core foundations. As Engineering Manager you will lead the Agentic AI engineering team, shape the platform’s technical direction, and make hands‑on contributions to key components.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Agentic AI team through goal setting, coaching, performance management and career development.
• Design, implement, and operate major areas of the shared Agentic AI platform.
• Define platform architecture, interfaces, and quality standards in collaboration with architecture and cloud teams.
• Translate recurring product and engineering needs into reusable platform capabilities while avoiding product‑specific forks.
• Establish engineering practices for reliability, security, observability, performance and compatibility.
• Support product engineering teams in adopting the platform and moving domain‑specific AI capabilities to production.
• Foster an experimental environment where engineers can learn, challenge assumptions and make evidence‑based decisions while being accountable for production outcomes.
• Measure platform adoption, quality, operational performance and delivery effectiveness to guide priorities.

Required profile

• Strong production software engineering experience designing, building and operating reliable systems.
• Demonstrated experience leading and developing engineers, including line management, coaching and performance feedback.
