Desktop Support Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Desktop Support Engineer to join Bill Gosling Outsourcing’s IT team. The role focuses on delivering first‑line technical assistance, ensuring that desktop environments run smoothly and securely for all users.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line support for hardware, software and network issues, responding to user inquiries via phone, email or in‑person.
• Install, configure, update and maintain desktop hardware and software, including patches, antivirus and security updates.
• Perform routine system maintenance, hardware upgrades and manage user accounts and permissions.
• Document incidents and resolutions in the ticketing system and generate regular performance reports.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity problems and assist with LAN and wireless network setup.
• Implement security policies, monitor for breaches and respond to security incidents.
• Participate in IT projects such as hardware or software rollouts and collaborate with other IT team members.
