Data Scientist II

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Data Scientist II to join its Global Analytics team. You will help transform large‑scale data assets into actionable insights that support pricing, product, and market decisions across six continents.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with global and regional pricing teams to design, develop, and maintain advanced reporting and data‑visualisation solutions.
• Translate business requirements into detailed specifications and deliver high‑quality, on‑time analytics products.
• Create repeatable processes for modelling and reporting, and manipulate large‑scale databases to extract insights.
• Produce first‑level analyses and present findings via interactive Tableau or Power BI dashboards, PowerPoint decks, and other visual tools.
• Apply data‑quality, validation, and cleansing procedures to new and existing data sources.

Required profile

• Experience in data management, mining, analytics, reporting and quantitative analysis.
• Background in financial institutions or payments is a plus.
• Proven ability to present data findings in clear, insight‑driven formats and build supporting decks.
• Advanced SQL skills and familiarity with Microsoft BI Stack (SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS) preferred.
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or related field.
