Data Engineer III – Data Platform

About the role

Zinnia is seeking a Data Engineer III to own and evolve its data platform. You will design, build, and maintain the pipelines, storage, and infrastructure that power analytics, machine‑learning, and data‑driven products across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable, reliable data pipelines and platforms on AWS.
• Provision and modify data infrastructure (S3, IAM, Lambda, RDS/Aurora, Snowflake) using Terraform and IaC patterns.
• Package, deploy, and manage containerised services with Docker, Kubernetes/EKS, and ECS.
• Develop ELT/ETL workflows with Airflow, dbt, and Airbyte for self‑serve data access.
• Implement telemetry, observability, data‑quality checks, and basic lineage.
• Contribute to data governance, access control, and cost‑optimisation in AWS and Snowflake.
• Troubleshoot pipeline and infrastructure issues, collaborating with senior engineers.
• Document solutions and follow platform technical standards.

Required profile

• Strong background in data engineering with a focus on platform and infrastructure work.
• Comfortable turning clear requirements into well‑tested, production‑ready solutions.
• Curious about scaling data platforms and supporting downstream analytics and ML use cases.
