Data Engineer III – Build Scalable Data Platforms

About the role

We are looking for a Data Engineer III to design, build and operate the core data platform that powers analytics and data‑driven products at Zinnia. You will work on AWS‑based infrastructure, create reliable pipelines, and ensure the platform scales to meet production workloads.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and platforms for analytics and downstream ML use cases.
• Provision and manage AWS resources (S3, IAM, Lambda, RDS/Aurora, compute) and Snowflake objects using Terraform.
• Develop and deploy containerised services with Docker, Kubernetes/EKS or ECS, including cluster upgrades.
• Implement data quality checks, monitoring, lineage and observability solutions.
• Create and maintain ELT/ETL workflows with Airflow, dbt and Airbyte.
• Collaborate on data governance, access control and cost‑optimization within AWS and Snowflake.
• Troubleshoot pipeline and infrastructure issues, escalating complex problems as needed.
• Document platform components and follow technical standards.

Required profile

• Strong background in data engineering with a focus on platform and infrastructure work.
• Comfortable translating clear requirements into well‑tested, production‑ready solutions.
• Curious about scaling data platforms and integrating them with analytics and ML pipelines.
