Customer Services Rolling Stock Bid Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Customer Services Rolling Stock (CS RS) Bid Manager to lead the full bid lifecycle for Siemens Mobility. The role involves qualifying opportunities, managing RFPs/RFIs/RFQs, and coordinating proposal development to deliver winning bids for rail vehicle and service solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end bid process from opportunity qualification through submission and post‑bid activities.
• Manage RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, tenders and proposal responses, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Develop bid plans, timelines, governance structures and review schedules; coordinate kick‑off meetings and stakeholder engagement.
• Conduct bid/no‑bid assessments, evaluate opportunities, ensure compliance with contractual, legal and regulatory requirements, and mitigate techno‑commercial risks.
• Create customer‑focused proposals, executive summaries, value propositions, win themes and differentiators by collaborating with subject‑matter experts, solution architects, sales and delivery teams.
• Maintain consistency in messaging, branding and proposal quality; analyse win/loss trends and implement improvements.
• Maintain knowledge repositories, reusable content and support bid management methodologies and tools.

Required profile

• Degree in electrical, mechanical or automotive engineering.
• Professional experience in service environments, project management or engineering within rail vehicles, automotive or aviation sectors.
• Familiarity with spare parts management, maintenance and life‑cycle cost analysis.

Required skills

• Practical experience with SAP.
