Configuration Management Engineer – Product Structure

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Configuration Management Engineer to own the creation, maintenance and governance of Master Bills of Materials (BOMs) and product structures across engineering and manufacturing systems. The role supports engineering change processes and ensures data integrity for downstream manufacturing and supply‑chain activities.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain Master BOMs / Product Structures, reviewing and authorising engineering changes.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, supply‑chain and planning teams to implement and control BOM changes.
• Manage Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and assess their impact on manufacturing and supply‑chain.
• Generate and maintain Assembly BOMs in ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Support MRP, work‑order and shop‑floor planning processes and ensure compliance with documentation standards.

Required profile

• BE/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5–7 years experience in production planning, manufacturing or engineering with exposure to BOM management and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical and communication skills with a proactive learning attitude.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Teamcenter (TcE) and UG NX.
• ERP systems – SAP, Oracle.
• Understanding of MRP, work orders and shop‑floor planning.
