Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)

About the role

We are looking for a senior leader to shape and manage the information security program of the Dutch Caribbean Air Navigation Service Provider. The Chief Information Security Officer will translate security policies into actionable procedures, ensure compliance, and protect our critical aviation systems.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain an information security management system (ISMS) and develop related procedures.
• Support the organization in applying security policies, procedures and technical measures.
• Advise senior management on strategic, tactical and operational security decisions.
• Conduct risk analyses to identify and mitigate information security threats.
• Translate security rules and guidelines into operational practices.
• Develop and deliver awareness programmes for staff.
• Monitor local and global cybersecurity developments and ensure the organization stays up‑to‑date.

Required profile

• Completed HBO and/or WO education relevant to information security.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISA or CISM (or equivalent).
• Minimum five years of experience in information security.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in Dutch and English, with sufficient knowledge of Spanish.
• Familiarity with ISO 27000 series, risk management and general computer technology.
• Analytical, systematic, independent, team‑oriented and resilient under stress.
