Associate Software Engineer - Test Automation (Infra)

About the role

Veeva is seeking a passionate engineer to join the Vault Automation Platform & Tools team. This position is ideal for fresh graduates or early‑career professionals who want to work on cloud‑based infrastructure testing using cutting‑edge technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Understand Vault infrastructure architecture and test infra changes using AWS, Kubernetes and Docker.
• Set up, maintain and improve the infrastructure test environment.
• Develop and contribute automation for infrastructure features such as zero‑downtime upgrades, high‑availability and disaster recovery.
• Build, maintain and enhance the existing automation framework, test harness and related processes.
• Execute automation runs, verify results, triage bugs and report status to on‑shore managers.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field.
• 1+ years of experience in software test automation or SDET roles.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Required skills

• Programming languages: Java, JavaScript, Python, Bash/Shell.
• API automation experience (e.g., RestAssured).
• Hands‑on knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, DynamoDB, SQS, Load Balancers, IAM, EKS).
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, ELK Stack, CloudWatch, Prometheus.
• Configuration management tools: Ansible, Terraform, Chef, CloudFormation.
• Version control platforms: GitLab, GitHub.
