Associate Director – Institutional NFR Transaction Banking

About the role

ANZ is looking for an Associate Director to lead non‑financial risk (NFR) across its Institutional Transaction Banking portfolio. You will partner with product, sales, technology and operations teams to embed risk controls throughout the product lifecycle and support safe, sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the trusted NFR partner for Transaction Banking products, providing guidance on strategy, client solutions and change initiatives.
• Analyse and challenge product and digital risk profiles, control effectiveness and customer outcomes for Payments, Cash Management, Trade and Digital Payments.
• Identify, assess, monitor and report material non‑financial risks across the end‑to‑end product and platform lifecycle.
• Support regulatory readiness, incident learning and escalation of material matters.
• Collaborate with implementation, operations and technology stakeholders to ensure risk‑aware delivery.

Required profile

• Significant experience in non‑financial risk management within a banking or financial services environment.
• Strong understanding of Transaction Banking products such as Payments, Cash Management, Trade and Digital Payments.
• Proven ability to influence cross‑functional teams and drive risk‑focused decision making.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills with a customer‑centric mindset.
